As a child growing up, I always dreamed of being something artistic and free spirited, like a teacher or hair stylist. I had a wonderful talent of sketching from sight and often displayed it on my grandparents’ kitchen wall in black permanent marker. Later,in my wonder years, I learned how to manipulate basic clip art using a Gateway desktop computer and Microsoft Paint. Years later, I went on to pursue a Bachelor of (Fine) Arts degree in Graphic Design.
After working as a graphic designer for a while, I left the field (other than for freelancing) and tried my skills at teacher. I was hired to teach English at my high school alma mater, and now I teach Mild-to-Moderate Special Education. I just received my Master of Arts in Teaching (alternative certification at the master's level) from my university alma mater. I am certified to teach Secondary English, Art, Technology Education, and Special Education.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my darling husband Adam, my two cats (Kuro and Amaya) and my black German Shepherd (Gabby). My husband and I were blessed with our first child, Aurora, in 2013, and recently we added our second child, Dallas, in 2018. I also love social media and try to dabble in art when ever I can.
